Today my Na Na and mommy took me to see Bean Bean at her restaurant Frittella's. www.frittellacafe.com I had the most fabulous pasta with marinara and spaghetti with butter. I even had a little salad to start! It was SO good.

Visit with Jonah (after Ike)

We got tired of the heat and headed to Austin to stay with my friend Jonah and boy did I have a GREAT time! Jonah and I played with all her toys...my favorite was the bead box. We also got to play with all the dogs and took them on a big walk by the lake. Then we swung and jumped on the trampoline in her back yard.

I also got to go to my first UT game. UT vs Rice 52-10!!! AND I got my FIRST CAR!!!!! Hurricane Ike wasn't too hard on the Lilly Bug.

Hurrican Ike

Well we made it through the storm with minimal damage. Just one large oak tree down in the back yard. We all "hunkered down" in the laundry room while the storm was really bad. We were without power for a week...which is a really long time. So, we took off to Austin and wouldn't you know the power came on the next day. But, I got to see my friend Jonah and her parents Jeff and Jeannie.

My 8 month Birthday...oh and mommy's birthday too

Hi everyone,

Here are pictures my my 8 month birthday. We had a wonderful brunch at the house with the family and then mommy, daddy, mimi and I went for an evening cruise on the boat. It a very nice day!

Standing

Today I taught myself to stand. I was playing in my pack and play and my mommy wanted to pick me up. But I threw a fit because I was on a mission to teach myself to stand. I kept scooting up the side to a standing position and then I would fall down. So, I'd try again and again until I finally figured it out. It took me about an hour and a half and now I'm a pro. I'll be walking soon. Watch out world...here I come!

Hi everyone,

I just wanted you to meet Erika, aka, RED. She used to watch me while mommy worked. She recently moved to Boston to go to college. I can't imagine why she would want to go there instead of play with me all day but you know..we all have our priorities! RED you know I am just kidding. We all miss you very much!

Lilly

Hi everyone,

Lilly is almost 8 months old! So, I figured it was time we shared some photos. We have been having such a wonderful time with her that I don't think we have sent any pictures out since the day she was born. So I'm going to try and catch you up, month by month, on how quickly she has been growing. Better late than never, right?

First Meal

My mom finally let me try my first "real meal" on August 3rd (8 months). I had rice cereal and at first it was AWEFUL!!! But, once I realized that it "felt good in my tummy" I really enjoyed it.

Bean Bean

Today I went to visit my Bean Bean in College Station. My mommy and Mimi had some of the BEST Italian food in the world while I sipped on some milk. I can't wait until they let me try some of that cannelloni and cheesecake. It sure looked good.
